Preview the upcoming Home experience for choosing an agent, starting work, and following its conversation.

Home is not generally available. This preview guide does not confirm access
for your account or announce a rollout. If **Home** is missing, this guide
cannot identify the cause. Use **New thread** to start work and
**Threads** to return to existing conversations.

Home brings starting work and following up into one place. Choose who should handle a task, send the request, then return to its thread when you need to answer a question or review the result.

## Open Home [#open-home]

Choose the personal or team workspace where you want to work, then open **Home** in the sidebar. Tasks start in that workspace, so check your selection before adding files or sending a request. Each task opens a [thread](https://www.hyperagent.com/docs/concepts/threads) where you and the agent can continue the work.

This preview guide does not confirm access for your account or announce a rollout. If **Home** is missing, this guide cannot identify the cause. Use **New thread** to start work and **Threads** to return to existing conversations.

## Start a task from Home [#start-a-task-from-home]

### Choose an agent [#choose-an-agent]

Select an agent's portrait, or use **More** to find another agent when that option appears. Choose **Hyperagent** for the general assistant. Check the selection before sending your request.

On personal Home, **Anyone** lets Hyperagent choose an agent for the task. It uses the general assistant if there is no clear match. Select an agent yourself when you need a particular agent's setup.

### Describe the work and select Start [#describe-the-work-and-select-start]

Write the outcome you want and add the files or context the agent needs. For example: “Compare these two proposals and flag differences in price, timing, and exclusions.”

Choose **Start** to begin work and stay on Home. A **Task started** confirmation includes **Open thread**. To enter the conversation immediately, open the arrow beside Start, labeled **More send options**, and choose **Start and open**.

In a team workspace, check any sharing notice before sending. The workspace's settings can make the new thread visible to teammates.

### Follow the thread and review the result [#follow-the-thread-and-review-the-result]

Look under **Recent threads**. Open a row to see the conversation, its files, and the agent's latest work.

* **Starting or Working:** The agent is still running. When a plan appears, its count shows completed steps, not time remaining.
* **Needs you:** Use **Answer** for a question or **Review** for a pending request when shown. Read the request before deciding.
* **Done:** Open the thread and check that the result meets your request. Ask for changes in the same conversation.
* **Failed or Stopped:** Open the thread to see what happened before retrying. Follow the [troubleshooting checks](https://www.hyperagent.com/docs/reference/troubleshooting-faq#work-stopped-or-something-is-missing).

**Quick reply**, when available, lets you continue from Home. On desktop, point to or focus the row to reveal it. Open the thread for the full context.

## Find earlier work or requests that need you [#find-earlier-work-or-requests-that-need-you]

**Recent threads** gives you a short list of recent conversations. Choose **View all** to open your history in **Threads**. If a conversation is missing, check that you are in the right workspace. Use **Retry** if the recent list reports a loading error.

An agent's **Needs you** caption opens the waiting thread when there is one known item; otherwise, it opens the agent's **Work** view. Selecting the portrait itself chooses that agent for a new task.

## What’s next [#whats-next]

* [Work in a thread](https://www.hyperagent.com/docs/concepts/threads) to inspect progress, refine a result, and share it.
* [Turn a thread into an agent](https://www.hyperagent.com/docs/guides/turn-a-thread-into-an-agent) when you want to reuse a successful way of working.
